For the past academic year, we have been proudly providing help and guidance to a group of fourth year MEng students at the University of Leicester for their final year project. Their project was to design, develop, build and test a robotic arm which was controlled by visually following the movements of a human arm, with the aim of using the resulting product in a hazardous industrial environment.
We have provided valuable ‘real-world’ industrial input into the project and strategic advice about the design decisions made by the students.
It’s been a privilege to work with this next generation of MEng students. We wish them every success in their future careers.
