Bob is able to draw on over two decades of experience working in the electronics industry as a professional Electronic Engineer. His career has taken him from working on safety-critical systems in the rail transport industry, through engineering planning and design before settling on electronic product development. Prior to forming Microsynthesis Bob was a senior development engineer with a company which produced control and monitoring equipment for the food and textiles industries.

During his BEng degree in Electronic Engineering he specialised in control system engineering. Since then Bob has taken a number of qualifications including a course with the Chartered Quality Institute. In 2014 he graduated from the University of Leicester with a MSc in Reliable Embedded Systems which he studied for alongside running Microsynthesis.

Bob has a penchant for solving complex or challenging engineering problems through creative (but scientific) thinking. Bob finds it essential to ensure that his solutions always address the true needs of the customer (not just the needs they think they have).

Outside work, Bob enjoys cycling, swimming, golf and renovating his Victorian town house.      

 

Jonny has a technology degree from De Montfort University which he gained in 2012. He just loves technology (and is very good with it)! He has several years’ experience in bringing technology to life in a number of settings. He is particularly good with media technology. Jonny’s role within Microsynthesis is to support all the development activities, from setting up test equipment and PC tools to technical research and coding. He has created the new Microsynthesis website, blog, and video channel.

When Jonny is not working he loves video games, checking out the latest cool gadgets and volunteering at his local church.
